German prosecutors say they have reopened hundreds of dormant
investigations into the cases of former Nazi death camp
workers.
That's after John Demjanjuk, 91, was convicted in May for 60 counts of murder
for serving as a guard at the Sobibor extermination camp
in Nazi-occupied Poland.
It was the first time prosecutors
were able to convict someone in such a case without direct
evidence.
Dr Efraim Zuroff is the Simon
Wiesenthal Centre's top Nazi hunter and author of the book,
Operation Last Chance: One Man's Quest to Bring Nazi Criminals
to Justice. He spoke to Radio 5 live Breakfast about whether
this would lead to further convictions.
