The author of the article, Norberts Kaucens, expresses critics about the arrival of director of the Simon Wiesentahl centre, Ephraim Zuroff, to Latvia, with an intention, to Kaucens mind, to continue defamation of Latvia and Latvian nation on a global scale. Kaucens claims that Zuroff should not be allowed to enter Latvia as he does not represent any government and his is not a diplomat, who would be entitled to examine the work of Latvia's Prosecutor's Office. (LA)

The newspaper republishes fragments of the article published by Diena yesterday about the mass execution of Jews in summer of 1941 in Bauska. (LA)

A reader of the newspaper, H. Karklins from Rauna, in his letter states that some Israeli authorities show their perplexity about historical processes in the Baltics by calling Latvian legionaries as fascists and SS-members. Karklins indicates that the International War Tribunal, established on August 8 of 1945, attested that those soldiers, who were involved in SS-legion by force, are not considered as criminals. (D)
