Yesterday the imitation of Israeli flag was burned down in the centre of Taurage while Nazi march was played loudly. Saulius Ozelis, member of the region council, who is infamous for scandalous actions, was glad that he was not hindered by anyone. Algirdas Meizenis, chief commissar of Taurage regional police, indicated to Lietuvos rytas that the police had no information about the campaign. Meanwhile, member of the region council stated to have organized a meeting for his electors- Several residents of Taurage and several dozen activists of the Lithuanian Freedom Union, who arrived in Taurage by bus, participated in the meeting. Vytautas Sustauskas, leader of the Union, did not come to the meeting. S. Ozelis organized the campaign in protest against Efraim Zuroff, leader of Simon Wiesenthal centre, Jerusalem branch, which is investigating holocaust crimes. The leader of the centre arrived in Lithuania at the beginning of July and offered a 10 thousand USD award for the provided information on Nazi criminals in Lithuania.

S. Ozelis asserted to the participants of the meeting that E. Zuroff should not look for Jews' killers here and that Lithuania was rescuing Jews.
